Official Drunken Dwarf Loot Ladder RulesUpon Activation of the loot ladder all raid members are assigned a random order on the loot ladder. This determines their priority for loot. As an item drops all those interested whisper the loot master indicating their desire for the item. The secrecy of this ensures that no one waits to see if no one else wants it therefore allowing it to go to off roles and saving their position on the loot ladder for something else. Of the people who whispered the loot master the person highest on the ladder will be given the item. The loot master will then mark that person as receiving loot and they will drop to the bottom of the loot ladder. If no one whispers for an item then that item goes to off-set roles where it is a free for all and whoever rolls the highest number gets the item. (Of course your guild my choose to sell it to the highest bidder, shard the item or put it in the guild bank, that's entirely up to you) Optional Rules Main vs Off Spec: In Riddle of Steel we allow anyone to whisper on main or off set, as far as we are concerned you will drop to the bottom of the loot ladder anyway, far be it from us to determine what a player wishes to do with their toon, also we often force people to run off spec so its only fair that they can role on their main. This is our decision and you can do what you like. Wisper limit: We also introduced a wisper limit, that is you can only receive loot from a maximum of three whispers after that your whispers are ignored. This was introduced as a number of little wankers would sit on the bottom of the loot ladder and whisper for everything, after all they have nothing to loose. A limit of three whisper / loot wins reduced that sort of shit real quick. |
